Engage BlackDoor 10/100
Encrypt Voice, Video and Data Packet Networks
The BlackDoor protects the confidentiality and integrity of Intranet and Internet Ethernet networks with the strongest commercially available cryptography. The BlackDoor Ethernet Encryptor, which supports Point to Point and Multi-point information assurance configurations with unique dynamic keys, is specifically designed for real time wireline backbones and the full spectrum of outdoor Wireless WAN technologies including: Free Space Optics, licensed and unlicensed Radios.
The BlackDoor transparently AES encrypts Ethernet networks. Ethernet Voice, Video or Data packets, that are destined for a device located on a remote network or a different local network segment, are AES encrypted at the Link, Network or Transport Layer and then tunneled, bridged or routed to the destination network. At the destination network the packets are decrypted and the original Ethernet packets are securely delivered to the destination Ethernet device.
The BlackDoor has three core modes of operation:
1. Black Bridge
The internal LAN segment transparently monitors all the packet traffic. Non Local Packets are encrypted above the Mac layer and bridged to the destination network.
2. Black Router
Remotely destined packets are encrypted above the Network layer and then dynamically or statically routed to the destination network.
3. Black Tunnel
Interconnects Ethernet LANs through an IP Transparent Encrypted Tunnel. Original packets are entirely encrypted and then encapsulated into an IP packet that is forwarded to the destination network.
Performance
The BlackDoor has the horsepower to support real time full duplex packet traffic such as that required by Video and Circuit Extension Over IP. Three independent Specialized Processors: Communication, Security and Application, are optimally geared to high performance full duplex dual Ethernet packet Encryption and Decryption.
- 1) Security Processor with independent encryption and decryption rings,
- 2) Communication Processor that is tightly coupled to the Network interfaces,
- 3) Application Processor that is executing a secure Operating System that has 15 years of network connectivity hardening.
Encryption Method
The Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is utilized by the BlackDoor to protect electronic data. The AES algorithm is a symmetric block cipher that encrypts and decrypts information. AES is a FIPS approved symmetric encryption algorithm that may be used by U.S. Government organizations (and others) to protect sensitive information.
Key Management
Automated 256 bit key management configurations ensure timely key transitions and eliminate the operational and maintenance costs of managing an encrypted network with manual key distribution.
